Corporate Compliance & Ethics

MaxMed Systems operates under a strict governance framework designed to ensure full legal compliance, ethical conduct, and operational integrity across all activities.
We conduct business exclusively within the boundaries of European legislation, international standards for refurbished medical devices, and the ethical principles expected from a professional supplier in the healthcare sector.

This page outlines the core policies that govern our operations and reflect the standards we expect from all partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Anti-Corruption and Ethical Business Conduct

MaxMed Systems maintains zero tolerance for any form of corruption, bribery, undue influence, or facilitation payments.
We do not offer, request, or accept any financial or non-financial incentives intended to influence decision-making.

Our ethical framework is aligned with:

  • EU Anti-Corruption Standards

  • UK Bribery Act principles

  • FCPA-equivalent global expectations

  • Industry best practices for healthcare transparency

All employees, contractors, and suppliers are required to act with integrity, avoid conflicts of interest, and comply with all applicable laws in every jurisdiction where MaxMed Systems operates.

Any violation of these principles results in immediate contract termination and reporting to competent authorities.

Sanctions, Export Controls and Restricted Transactions

MaxMed Systems complies fully with:

  • European Union sanctions regulations

  • United Nations sanctions mandates

  • Export control frameworks applicable to medical equipment

  • Restricted-party screening and dual-use evaluation when required

We do not conduct business — directly or indirectly — with entities, individuals, or jurisdictions subject to EU, UN or OFAC restrictions.
Every transaction is assessed for compliance prior to acceptance, including verification of end-user, destination, and intended use.

If regulatory conditions change, MaxMed Systems reserves the right to suspend or cancel an order without liability.

Modern Slavery and Human Rights Commitment

MaxMed Systems is committed to respecting fundamental human rights and ensuring that no element of our supply chain — including logistics, refurbishment centres, or third-party contractors — is involved in:

  • forced labour

  • child labour

  • human trafficking

  • unsafe or abusive working conditions

We prohibit partnerships with organisations that fail to meet international labour standards or cannot demonstrate traceability of their operations.

All suppliers must confirm compliance with our Modern Slavery Policy as part of their onboarding process.

Privacy, Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

As a European company, MaxMed Systems processes all personal data under strict GDPR principles:

  • lawfulness, fairness and transparency

  • purpose limitation

  • data minimisation

  • accuracy

  • storage limitation

  • integrity and confidentiality

Data is processed exclusively for legitimate business purposes such as enquiries, quotations, order management and contractual communication.
No data is sold, monetised, profiled or used for marketing without explicit consent.

Our full Privacy Policy is available separately and details all GDPR rights applicable to our partners.

Ethical Procurement and Supplier Responsibility

All suppliers, refurbishers and logistics partners must comply with:

  • our Supplier Code of Conduct

  • applicable EU legislation for medical device handling

  • environmental and safety requirements

  • anti-corruption and labour standards

We work only with established European partners who can demonstrate traceability of origin, professional refurbishment protocols, documented technical evaluation, and full compliance with transport and safety regulations for medical equipment.

Failure to maintain these standards leads to immediate removal from our supplier network.
